撞球，是一种有多重玩法的技巧运动，其共同点是使用撞球杆撞击一般为白色的母球，令其在撞球桌上滚动并撞击其他球（子球），以达成特定目的。

• 高杆(推杆)：击打后使母球往前。
• 中杆(定杆)：击打后使母球定点。
• 低杆(拉杆)：击打后使母球往后。
• 下塞：击打后使母球撞击颗星反弹角度放大或缩小。
• 曲球：击打后使母球行进路线呈曲线。
• 跳球：击打后使母球飞越障碍物。
