乙酸酐是由乙酸衍生出来的酸酐，分子式为(CH3CO)2O，常缩写为Ac2O。它是最简单的有机酸酐之一，有机合成中常用它作乙酰化试剂或失水剂。在室温下乙酸酐为无色液体，与空气中的水分反应，从而散发出乙酸的强烈味道。

Acetic anhydride, or ethanoic anhydride, is the chemical compound with the formula (CH3CO)2O. Commonly abbreviated Ac2O, it is the simplest isolable anhydride of a carboxylic acid and is widely used as a reagent in organic synthesis. It is a colorless liquid that smells strongly of acetic acid, which is formed by its reaction with moisture in the air.
