Chamaerops is a genus of flowering plants in the palm family Arecaceae. The only currently fully accepted species is Chamaerops humilis, variously called European fan palm, Mediterranean dwarf palm, dwarf fan palm, or saw palmetto in English, and palmito in Spanish.
