碰碰车是一种机动游戏，老少皆宜。设备包括一个室内的场地，天花上有通电的电网。地面则为洒上少量石墨的金属地板。场内有供乘客驾驶的小型电动碰碰车。碰碰车的四周有由橡胶造成的围裙，并由接到天花的垂直电杆取电。车上一般最多坐二人，有加速用的脚踏，和转向的方向盘。

碰碰车的原意是让驾驶者争取最快在场内完成绕圈，途中可以横冲直撞，把对手的车碰开；现今玩法是以撞击对手取乐。当时间到了，游戏结束时，操作员把电源关上。碰碰车的速度通常很低，就算是碰撞亦不会损害人车。

最早的碰碰车在1920年代已出现。现是一种叫受家庭欢迎的游乐项目。
