WiBro（全称为Wireless Broadband，韩语原文为：와이브로）是由韩国电子通信研究院发展的一个无线宽带互联网的技术，在2002年2月。韩国政府在2.3GHz的频带中保留了100MHz的带宽。在2004年的稍后，韩国的TTA（Telecommunications Technology Association）将WiBro第一阶段予以标准化。

WiBro基地台（Base Station，也称：基站）提供了30Mbps—50Mbps的数据流速度并可涵盖1公里—5公里的距离内移动式的互联网需求使用。

WiBro (Wireless Broadband) is a wireless broadband Internet technology developed by the South Korean telecoms industry. WiBro is the South Korean service name for IEEE 802.16e (mobile WiMAX) international standard. By the end of 2012, the Korean Communications Commission intends to increase WiBro broadband connection speeds to 10Mbit/s, around ten times the current speed, which will complement their 1Gbit/sec fibre-optic network.
