紫鱼（学名：Pristipomoides typus）为笛鲷科紫鱼属的鱼类，俗名子鱼。

紫鱼身体延长侧扁，紫红色，大者可达到70厘米以上；眼睛较大，口大，上下颌前端各有两个大犬牙，两侧牙细小；身体被栉鳞，但头背部裸露，背鳍和臀鳍基底没有被小鳞；尾鳍分叉，尾鳍上叶的鳍条延长。

The Sharptooth jobfish, Pristipomoides typus, also known as White Snapper - Jobfish, Goldband Snapper, Threadfin Snapper, is a species of snapper native to the Eastern Indian Ocean and into the Western Pacific Ocean as far east as Australia. They inhabit waters over rocky substrates at depths from 40 to 120 m (130 to 390 ft). The greatest known weight for this species is 2.2 kg (4.9 lb), and maximum length is 70.0 cm (27.6 in). This species is very important to Indian and Sri Lankan commercial fisheries and is sought out as a game fish.
