Choline (/ˈkoʊlin/) is a water-soluble nutrient. It is usually grouped within the B-complex vitamins. Choline generally refers to the various quaternary ammonium salts containing the N,N,N-trimethylethanolammonium cation. (X on the right denotes an undefined counteranion.)
