Phytoglycogen

Phytoglycogen is a polysaccharide extracted from plants (that provides energy to plants to grow). It is a type of glucose. It is mainly available in millets grown in Central and Southern parts of India. One of the millets, barnyard millet, where a polysaccharide extracted from the endosperm of the millet and composed of glucose was identified as a phytoglycogen.
