胆钙化醇（英语：Cholecalciferol，又称为维生素D₃或胆钙化固醇）是维生素D的一种，胆固醇脱氢后生成的7-脱氢胆固醇经紫外线照射即可形成胆钙化醇，因此也就是说胆钙化醇的维生素D原是7-脱氢胆固醇。胆钙化醇在肝脏中经羟化酶系作用形成25-羟胆钙化醇，再在肾脏中被羟化为1,25-二羟胆钙化醇，这种物质的活性较胆钙化醇高50%，被证明是维生素D在体内的真正活性形式。且1,25-二羟胆钙化醇属于肾脏分泌的一种激素，因此实际上胆钙化醇也是一种激素原。

Cholecalciferol (/ˌkoʊləkælˈsɪfərɒl/) (vitamin D₃) is one of the five forms of vitamin D. It is a secosteroid, that is, a steroid molecule with one ring open. Cholecalciferol is inactive: it is converted to its active form by two hydroxylations: the first in the liver, the second in the kidney, to form calcitriol, whose action is mediated by the vitamin D receptor, a nuclear receptor which regulates the synthesis of hundreds of enzymes and is present in virtually every cell in the body.
