Marlon Brando

Marlon Brando, Jr. (April 3, 1924 – July 1, 2004) was an American cinema and theatre actor. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential actors of all time. He is also credited with popularizing the Stanislavski system of acting, or method acting. A mid-20th Century Western cultural icon, Brando's career-defining performance was in On the Waterfront (1954), and his early reputation as an epitome of the modern classical actor was augmented by influential performances in A Streetcar Named Desire (1951), Julius Caesar (1953), and The Wild One (1953).
