空气污染（或大气污染）指一些危害人体健康及周边环境的物质对大气层所造成的污染。这些物质可能是气体、固体或液体悬浮物等。我们在日常生活中呼吸的空气，由多种化学物质组成，最普遍的元素是氮，其次是氧，然后是其他气体。每种气体的成份并不是固定的，会有轻微的转变。如果空气中的污染物数量少的话，对人体和环境的影响会比较轻微，但当这些污染物增加至危险的水平，我们就要想办法把他们从空气里消除。

空气污染主要可以分为化学污染和生物污染两部份。也有人把噪音、热量、辐射和光的污染归入空气污染的类别里。

2008年，布莱克史密斯研究所在世界污染最严重地区报告中将室内空气污染和城市空气质量被列为世界最严重的有毒污染问题。根据2014年世界卫生组织报告，2012年空气污染导致全球700万人死亡。

Air pollution is the introduction of particulates, biological molecules, or other harmful materials into Earth's atmosphere, causing diseases, death to humans, damage to other living organisms such as animals and food crops, or the natural or built environment. Air pollution may come from anthropogenic or natural sources.
