coastal management is a defence method to defend a certain piece of land, this can be done with hard and soft engineering - hard engineering consists of rock armour, groynes, sea walls, gabion, and offshore breakwater, these are only a few. soft engineering is more beach replacement, trees cliff regrading and managed retreat.
