赤麻鸭（学名：Tadorna ferruginea），又名黄鸭、黄麻鸭、黄凫、渎凫、红雁。

赤麻鸭的生境多样，从世界屋脊的高原湖泊到平原地区的湿地沼泽都能看到它们，山区小溪、开阔的水塘、海边沙滩甚至靠近绿洲的戈壁滩都是赤麻鸭的活动范围。

The ruddy shelduck (Tadorna ferruginea), known in India as the Brahminy duck or chakravaka(चक्रवाक in hindi, చక్రవాకం in telugu), is a member of the family Anatidae. It is a distinctive waterfowl, 58 to 70 cm (23 to 28 in) in length with a wingspan of 110 to 135 cm (43 to 53 in). It has orange-brown body plumage with a paler head, while the tail and the flight feathers in the wings are black, contrasting with the white wing-coverts. It is a migratory bird, wintering in the Indian subcontinent and breeding in southeastern Europe and central Asia, though there are small resident populations in North Africa. It has a loud honking call.
