塔兰托（意大利语：Taranto）位于意大利南部伊奥尼亚海塔兰托湾畔，是塔兰托省的首府，也是意大利重要的商港和海军基地。

塔兰托是于古希腊时代，由古希腊人创建，当时只是殖民地。后来古希腊与古罗马在普利亚大区展开多场战争。最后在公元前122年，古罗马人于塔兰托附近成立殖民地；公元前89年，塔兰托被古罗马吞并，成为罗马帝国下的一个自治市。

在中世纪时代，塔兰托是被伦巴底人所统治，到公元662年被贝内文托公国所攻占。在公元八世纪，北非的柏柏尔人经常侵犯塔兰托和意大利南部一带。到1063年，被诺曼人所征服，塔兰托成为诺曼底公国的首都，国祚有377年。

It is the capital of the Province of Taranto and is an important commercial port as well as the main Italian naval base.
