树番茄（英文名：Tree Tomato或Tamarillo，学名：Solanum betaceum）为茄科茄属下的一个种，本身是一棵小树或灌木。

树番茄原产于秘鲁、智利、厄瓜多尔尔、哥伦比亚和玻利维亚的安第斯山脉山区，现在当地果园仍有种植， 并且是最受欢迎的植物之一。 世界其他各地，诸如南非、印度、中国、美国、澳大利亚和新几内亚也已开始种植树番茄。在**阿里山山区也有分布。

新西兰是出口树番茄最多的国家之一，出口地包括美国、日本 和欧洲，为此甚至占用了猕猴桃的销售渠道。

在马来西亚、菲律宾和波多黎各的高海拔地区，树番茄种植业发展势头良好。 早在1967年，树番茄在新西兰称“tree tomato”，但后来业内赋予了它新名及现名“tamarillo”。这个词是由“tomato”（番茄）和西班牙语“amarillo”（黄色）结合， 并加上毛利语“tama”（领导力）而成。
