European Commission spokesperson Johannes Bahrke says the prolonged drought in the E.U. will substantially impact summer crops.

Summer crops have suffered, with 2022 yields of maize set to be 16 percent below the average of the previous five years and soybean and sunflower yields set to decrease by 15 and 12 percent, respectively.
