Segodnya
Segodnya (Russian:Сегодня, meaning "Today"; the "g" is pronounced as a "v") founded in 1997, is a Russian language Kiev-based tabloid newspaper. While run from Kiev, it is linked to Donbas political and business groups (it is owned by Ukrainian businessman Rinat Akhmetov's Ukraina Media Group), supporting former Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych for the presidency in 2004. Since the "Orange Revolution", the newspaper has moderated its pro-Eastern reporting under pressure from its own journalists.
Segodnya is a member of the Ukrainian Association of Press Publishers.
