弗迪南·德·索绪尔（法语：Ferdinand de Saussure，1857年11月26日－1913年2月22日），生于日内瓦，瑞士语言学家。索氏是现代语言学之父，他把语言学塑造成为一门影响巨大的独立学科。他认为语言是基于符号及意义的一门科学——现在一般通称为符号学。

他的弟子沙尔·巴利（Charles Bally）及薛施霭（Albert Sechehaye）等在1916年根据收集的索绪尔课堂的听课笔记，编写了《通用语言学》一书。该著作成为二十世纪现代语言学及结构主义语言学之开山之作，现代语言学的许多理论基础都来自于此书。

Ferdinand de Saussure (/sɔːˈsʊər/ or /soʊˈsʊər/; French: [fɛʁdinɑ̃ də sosyʁ]; 26 November 1857 – 22 February 1913) was a Swiss linguist and semiotician whose ideas laid a foundation for many significant developments both in linguistics and semiology in the 20th century. He is widely considered one of the founders of 20th-century linguistics and one of two major founders (together with Charles Sanders Peirce) of semiotics/semiology.
