Adad (Akkadian) or Iškur (Sumerian) was the storm god in ancient Mesopotamian religion. These two names are usually written with the logogram IM. The Akkadian Adad was the god Hadad originating in early ancient Semitic religion of the Amorites (Sumerian mar.tu).
