Mudigere ( Kannada: ಮೂಡಿಗೆರೆ) is a panchayat town and taluka in Chikkamagaluru district in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is 35 km from the district headquarters. Several pilgrimage sites are in the taluka including Hornadu (64 km) and **** (52 km). Poorna Chandra Tejaswi, the Kannada writer, photographer, ornithologist, publisher and progressive thinker lived his last years in Mudigere.
