Molinella is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Bologna in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 30 kilometres (19 mi) northeast of Bologna. As of 31 August 2008, it had a population of 15,542 and an area of 128.1 square kilometres (49.5 sq mi).
