曼彻斯特（英语：Manchester），英国英格兰西北区域大曼彻斯特郡的都市自治市、城市、单一管理区，人口437,000。曼彻斯得名于古英语名字「Mamucium」（意思是奶头形状的山），及后演化，加上「ceaster」，起源于古拉丁语 "Castra" 而变成「Manchester」。

Manchester (/ˈmæntʃɪstər/) is a city and metropolitan borough of Greater Manchester in North West England which had a population of 514,417 as of 2013. It lies within the United Kingdom's second-most populous urban area, with a population of 2.55 million. Manchester is fringed by the Cheshire Plain to the south, the Pennines to the north and east and an arc of towns with which it forms a continuous conurbation. The local authority is Manchester City Council.
