位于丝绸之路之上，曾经是由喀什市到中国中部的必经之路。

Khardung La (Khardung Pass, la means pass in *****) is a mountain pass located in the Ladakh region of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. The local pronunciation is "Khardong La" or "Khardzong La," but, as with most names in Ladakh, the romanised spelling varies.
