五氧化二碘是一种无机化合物，化学式为I2O5。这种碘的氧化物是碘酸的酸酐。它的制备方法是碘单质与发烟硝酸反应得到碘酸：

\mathrm{3 \ I_2 + 10 \ HNO_3 \longrightarrow 6 \ HIO_3 + 10 \ NO + 2 \ H_2O}

然后在干燥气流中使碘酸在200°C下脱水：

\mathrm{2 \ HIO_3 \longrightarrow \ I_2O_5 + H_2O}

但温度不能过高，如果超过300°C则会分解为碘和氧气。

由于它的吸水性很强，市售五氧化二碘几乎都由I2O5·HIO3组成。
