英格兰（英语：England）。是大不列颠及北爱尔兰联合王国（英国）的一个构成国。虽然就传统上一般可以认为其政治地位相当于一个国家，但以国际通行标准上其仍然是一级行政区，与美国的州一致。位于大不列颠岛的东南方，苏格兰以南，威尔士以东。是英国面积最大，人口最多，经济最发达的一个部分。

在历史上，英格兰与苏格兰之间是以哈德良长城为界。英格兰这个名字源自「盎格鲁人」（Angles），其原名「Engla-lond」意为「盎格鲁人之地」，他们继凯尔特人之后来到这个地方，属日耳曼民族。

England /ˈɪŋɡlənd/ is a country that is part of the United Kingdom. It shares land borders with Scotland to the north and Wales to the west. The Irish Sea lies northwest of England and the Celtic Sea lies to the southwest. England is separated from continental Europe by the North Sea to the east and the English Channel to the south. The country covers much of the central and southern part of the island of Great Britain, which lies in the North Atlantic; and includes over 100 smaller islands such as the Isles of Scilly, and the Isle of Wight.
