在托尔金（J. R. R. Tolkien）的小说里，哈拉德威治（Harad）在辛达林语及昆雅语中解作南方，是刚铎（Gondor）及魔多（Mordor）南方的一片广大土地。当地人称呼为哈拉德威治，亦称为哈拉德（Harad）。

哈拉德威治的人类为哈拉德林人（Haradrim）或东夷南蛮（Southrons）。

亚拉冈（Aragorn）曾简短描述过哈拉德威治—「哈拉德威治的星星很奇特」。《魔戒三部曲》里，中土大陆是一个球体，不同于第一纪元时那样是平面的。

哈拉德威治的部族是分裂的— 至少在中土大陆北方人的眼中是这样的 —分为近哈拉德（Near Harad）及远哈拉德（Far Harad）。虽然同为哈拉德林人，但两地的人类互相仇视。近哈拉德人是褐皮肤、黑头发和黑眼睛的。远哈拉德人则是黑皮肤的（可能是食人妖和人类混血的）

Called Haradwaith from the people who lived there, it literally means "South-folk", from the Sindarin harad, "South" and gwaith, "people". It is also referred to as the Sunlands.
