Hackbridge is a suburb in the London Borough of Sutton, south-west London. It is situated 9 miles (14.6 km) south-west of Charing Cross.
Hackbridge was home to the first Country dogs home opened by the Duke and Duchess of Portland. It is currently most notable for being home to the multi-award winning BedZED (Beddington Zero Energy Development) eco-friendly housing development.
