The systematic name of this enzyme class is ATP:carbamate phosphotransferase. Other names in common use include CKase, carbamoyl phosphokinase, and carbamyl phosphokinase. This enzyme participates in 4 metabolic pathways: purine metabolism, glutamate metabolism, arginine and proline metabolism, and nitrogen metabolism.
