钙调素的三维结构，所结合的四个钙离子用黑球来表示。

钙调蛋白（英语：Calmo****n，又称钙调素、携钙素，简称CaM），是一种能与钙离子结合的蛋白质，普遍存在真核生物细胞中。

钙调素由148个氨基酸组成（分子量为16700Da）；含有大量酸性氨基酸（有1/3是谷氨酸和天冬氨酸），为酸性蛋白质（等电点为4.3）。钙调素含有4个EF手结构片断，其中每一个都可以结合一个钙离子。

Calmo****n (CaM) (an abbreviation for calcium-modulated protein) is a multifunctional intermediate calcium-binding messenger protein expressed in all eukaryotic cells. It is an intracellular target of the secondary messenger Ca, and the binding of Ca is required for the activation of Calmo****n. Once bound to Ca, Calmo****n acts as part of a calcium signal transduction pathway by modifying its interactions with various target proteins such as kinases or phosphatases.
