Blue toe syndrome

Blue toe syndrome is a situation of atherothrombotic microembolism, causing transient focal ischaemia, occasionally with minor apparent tissue loss, but without diffuse forefoot ischemia.

The terms "grey toe syndrome" and "purple toe syndrome" are sometimes used interchangeably.
