自守数（Automorphic Number，中国大陆一些文献中也称为同构数）：是其任意次幂的末几位数字等于这个数本身的数。在十进制数字中，5、6、25、76、376、625、……（OEIS中的数列A003226）都是自守数。如果一个数是自守数，则它必定满足。

在十进制的位数中，最多有两类自守数，一个个位数字为5，另一个个位数字为6（除非，该数为3）。一个形式为；另一个形式为。其和必定为。

类似的，自守数可以推广到高次。如果把原来意义上的自守数称为2阶的话，把形如

In mathematics an automorphic number (sometimes referred to as a circular number) is a number whose square "ends" in the same digits as the number itself. For example, 5 = 25, 6 = 36, 76 = 5776, and 890625 = 793212890625, so 5, 6, 76 and 890625 are all automorphic numbers. The only automorphic Kaprekar number is 1, because the square of a Kaprekar number cannot start with zero.
