油桐（拉丁文学名：Vernicia fordii）是大戟科中的一种落叶树（deciduous tree），原产地为中国。亦有很多俗名，如「油桐树」、「桐油树」、「桐子树」、「光桐」、「三年桐」、「罂子桐」、「中国木油树」等等，在英语中，就只是「油桐树」一个俗名就有「Tung Oil Tree」、「Tung-oil Tree」、「Tungoil Tree」这些名称，但现时，油桐才是此物种正式的名称。由于油桐可以生产珍贵的桐油，因此油桐显得很贵重。油桐是靠树上产生的种子而繁殖后代的。直到后来，油桐传入了阿根廷、巴拉圭和美国，以继续加以培植。

Vernicia fordii (tung tree; syn. Aleurites fordii) is a species of Vernicia in the spurge family, native to southern China, Burma, and northern Vietnam. Other vernacular names include tung oil tree, tung-oil tree, tungoil tree, China wood-oil tree, kalo nut tree, 油桐 (lit. oil tung) being the formal name in Chinese.
