回响贝斯（英语：Dubstep），回响贝斯在1990年代诞生，源起英国伦敦南部的电辅音乐。 音乐重点大多被形容成“紧密的制作与鼓的节奏两拍成一组，最早回电台播放这类型的音乐。在他的节目的最后一年，2004年，他的听众投票产生了Distance， Digital Mystikz 和 Plastician (旧称 Plasticman)三位dj为当年50大dj。回响贝斯从此在当地小众间开始流行。网站间也开始发布有关回响贝斯音乐的链接与介绍，例如dubstepforum，下载点barefiles和一些博客例如gutterbreakz。在此同时回响贝斯受到其他媒体的注意，例如杂志The Wire。在线媒体Pitchfork Media还曾被刊在每月专栏中。

Dubstep /ˈdʌbstɛp/ is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in South London, England. It emerged in the late 1990s as a development within a lineage of related styles such as 2-step garage, dub, techno, drum and bass, broken beat, jungle, and reggae. In the UK the origins of the genre can be traced back to the growth of the Jamaican sound system party scene in the early 1980s. The music generally features sparse, syncopated drum and percussion patterns with bass lines that contain prominent sub bass frequencies.
