Sunndalsøra is a village and the administrative centre of Sunndal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located at the mouth of the river Driva at the beginning of the Sunndalsfjorden. It is about 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) west of Hoelsand, 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) southeast of Øksendalsøra, and about 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) west of Grøa. The 3.42-square-kilometre (850-acre) village has a population (2013) of 4,030; which gives the village a population density of 1,178 inhabitants per square kilometre (3,050/sq mi).
