Raffingora

Raffingora is a small town in the province of Mashonaland West, Zimbabwe. It is located about 45km north-east of Chinhoyi in one of Zimbabwe's leading tobacco growing districts. This is where academic social scientist on gender, sex and sexuality Ngonidzashe Kamhozo has done so many studies about the current trends of HIV and the spread of STIs among the youth in the area and has recommended that the government and its stakeholders in health implement measures in the area that promote the reduction of the spread of HIV AIDS and STIs. Youth in this densely populated area engage in potentially risk sexual behavior to evade their economic woes. Raffingora is characterized by prostitution and gossip with no major commercial economic activities.
