Quingestanol acetate

Quingestanol acetate (INN, USAN) (brand names Demovis, Pilomin), also known as 3-cyclopentyl norethisterone acetate or as noretynodrel acetate 3-cyclopentyl ether, is a steroidal progestin with some androgenic activity which is used as an oral, once-a-month or postcoital hormonal contraceptive. Its mechanism of action is inhibition of the ovulation and, secondarly, supression of the endometrium which may affect implantation.,
