John William "Paul" Weller, Jr. (born 25 May 1958) is an English singer, songwriter and musician. Weller achieved fame with the punk rock band The Jam. He had further success pursuing a blue-eyed soul style of music with The Style Council (1983–89), before establishing himself as a solo artist in 1991.
