柳枝稷（学名：Panicum virgatum），多年生草本植物，容易繁殖，草梗粗壮，高度达3米。分布于美国德克萨斯州草原地区至加拿大。可用于提炼燃料乙醇。

柳枝稷是北美洲的原生植物，不太需要施肥灌溉，若北美大量种植取代玉米等作物，可以降低农业对生态的冲击，帮助鸟类等野生动物。

Panicum virgatum, commonly known as switchgrass, is a perennial warm season bunchgrass native to North America, where it occurs naturally from 55°N latitude in Canada southwards into the United States and Mexico. Switchgrass is one of the dominant species of the central North American tallgrass prairie and can be found in remnant prairies, in native grass pastures, and naturalized along roadsides. It is used primarily for soil conservation, forage production, game cover, as an ornamental grass, and more recently as a biomass crop for ethanol and butanol, in phytoremediation projects, fiber, electricity, and heat production and for biosequestration of atmospheric carbon dioxide.
