Oogenesis

Oogenesis, ovogenesis, or oögenesis /ˌoʊ.əˈdʒɛnᵻsɪs/ is the creation of an ovum (egg cell). It is the female form of gametogenesis; the male equivalent is spermatogenesis. It involves the development of the various stages of the immature ovum.
