正规态射 Normal morphism

在范畴论中，正规态射是一类可以自然地分解成单射与满射的态射。使所有态射皆为正规态射的范畴称为正规范畴。

设 $\mathcal{C}$ 为一个有有限射影极限与归纳极限的范畴。设 $f: X \to Y$ 为态射。设 $p_1, p_2: \; X \times_Y X \to X$ 为积的投影，而 $i_1,i_2: \; Y \to Y \sqcup_X Y$ 为上积的内射。定义：

上像： $\mathrm{Coim}(f) := \mathrm{Coker}(p_1,p_2)$
像： $\mathrm{Im}(f) := \mathrm{Ker}(i_1, i_2)$

根据极限性质，自然态射 $X \to \mathrm{Coim}(f)$ 是满射，而 $\mathrm{Im}(f) \to Y$ 则是单射。此外还存在唯一一个态射 $u: \;\mathrm{Coim}(f) \to \mathrm{Im}(f)$ ，使得合成态射

X \longrightarrow\mathrm{Coim}(f) \stackrel{u}{\longrightarrow} \mathrm{Im}(f) \longrightarrow Y

正好是 $f$ 。

若 $u$ 为同构，则称 $f$ 为正规态射；正规态射可以写成满射与单射的合成。所有态射皆为正规态射的范畴称为正规范畴。
