静音机是一个会把指定的噪音隔除，而其他的声音却不受影响的家用设备。它是由一名英国工程师在一名电脑程序员的协助下成功发明。

其原理就是根据指定的噪音，发出完全相反的声波，让两种声波在相遇时互相抵销，从而把该噪音隔除。目前这种概念已被广泛应用在飞机的隔声耳筒和战机的隔音喇叭上。而静音机则进一步能使人们可以在一个圆锥形的「个人静音区」内，免除指定噪音的骚扰。
