小政府主义（Minarchism），有时候也称为最小中央集权（minimal statism）或最小政府，是一种主张在自由社会里，政府的大小以及所扮演的角色应该最小化—只要有能力保护每个人的自由、防范侵犯自由的行为即可，以此最大化每个人的自由。许多小政府主义者将自己视为自由意志主义的一环，并自称是为了延续在古典自由主义哲学里的传统。这个称呼的产生，或许是因为自由意志主义与无政府主义之间的一些差异。自由意志主义者相信，创建一个在保护个人自由的同时也不侵犯到个人自由的政府是可能的；而无政府主义则相信，政府的存在注定会侵犯到个人自由；小政府主义相信，保留一个最小化的政府来维持个人自由是必要的。

Minarchism is a libertarian political philosophy which advocates for a minimal state, that is, a state that acts only on very essential functions, while all other functions are provided by the free market, like in a laissez-faire economy. Such a state could also be called a minarchy. It is different from sister political philosophy anarcho-capitalism, where the state does not exist and all functions are provided by the free market.
