龙头股，香港及中国大陆股市的常用词语，是指所属股票的公司在行业内有一定领导地位，包括规模、市占率、市值、营业额、利润，或指某一时期在股票市场的炒作中对同行业板块的其他股票具有影响和号召力的股票，它的涨跌往往对其他同行业板块股票的涨跌起引导和示范作用。但龙头股不是一成不变的，它的地位可能只能维持一段时间。

Leading stock (龙头股 / 龙头股), which is usually applied to the stock market of Mainland China and Hong Kong, means stock of a certain company which has leading status in their business field, including scope, market share, market capitalization, turnover and profit. Sometimes, leading stock may lead or influence prices of other stocks in the same business field to rise or drop. However, leading stock is not immutable; its status may last for a period of time before being replaced by others with more leading power.
