摇蚊科（学名：Chironomidae），常被泛称为摇蚊，是双翅目摇蚊总科之下的其中223个属，超过5000种的统称。摇蚊的幼虫被俗称为红虫。

The Chironomidae (informally known as chironomids or nonbiting midges) are a family of nematoceran flies with a global distribution. They are closely related to the Ceratopogonidae, Simuliidae, and Thaumaleidae. Many species superficially resemble mosquitoes, but they lack the wing scales and elongated mouthparts of the Culicidae.
