Keogh, usually pronounced /ˈkjoʊ/, is an Irish and Scottish surname. It is a reduced form on an Anglicisation of the Gaelic Mac Eochaidh, MacEochaidh. The personal name Eochaidh is based upon the Gaelic eochair, meaning "lock or locksmith".
