拼音文本中，混成词（英文：portmanteau或blend）指由最少两个词语或词语的一部分结合而成的词语或词素，该新词语的意义和读音集组成部分之成。一般而言，混成词是新词，例如cyborg（生化人），普遍代指cybernetic organism（自动化生物）。与合成词（又称复合词）之不同在于，混成词本身是一个词素，虽然其意义和读音由两个以上的词素融合而成，但混成词不可以拆分为词素。

西方现代语言学里，portmanteau指混成词曾一度通用，但已被blend取代。诸如motel（汽车旅馆，motor + hotel）、smog（雾霾，smoke + fog）和brunch（早午餐，breakfast + lunch）等混成词，现称为blend。但含有多于一个意义的词素仍然称为portmanteaux。
