电子政务（又称电子政府，或e-gov、数字政府、在线政府、联网政府等）是将政府与公民之间用数字化的方式连接（政府-公民称为：government and citizens，简称G2C，下同），政府到企业（government and businesses/Commerce，G2B）、政府到员工（government and employees，G2E），甚至于政府到政府之间（government and governments /agencies，G2G）。电子政务的模式可以简单的归纳为(Jeong, 2007):

E-government (short for electronic government - 'EG', is also known as e-gov, Internet government, digital government, online government, connected government). As of 2014 the OECD still uses the term digital government, and distinguishes it from e-government in the recommendation produced there for the Network on E-Government of the Public Governance Committee.
